Notorious Baltimore bandit Jack Hart, dubbed mastermind, is under arrest in Chicago. Investigators report January operations led to a major breakthrough as authorities close another chapter in the long pursuit.
Jack Hart, a Maryland penitentiary escapee serving a life term for murder and robbery, was arrested in Chicago. Police say Hart is wanted for Baltimore homicide ties and a $35,000 silk robbery. A detective squad from Baltimore may extradite him as officials forward papers.
The Home Grocery Corp lists holiday specials from December 20 to 24 in Winchester and Strasburg Virginia. He awaits a hearing next Monday.
Berryville residents Carl Trenary and a Mr Bell were involved in a morning wreck on Valley Pike near Mrs R M Henry’s home. Their Buick touring sedan skid on the wet road, demolished fence panels, and halted against a fence. Bell was injured. Trenary escaped serious harm.
