The Rev. Luther B. Bridgers campaign in the union tabernacle neared its close with six hundred converts since it began a month ago. A final Sunday program includes a 2:30 sermon for new converts and a renewed free will offering for Bridgers and his party.
With seven shopping days before Christmas buyers swarm stores in a record crowd. Residents prepare parcels and store them away as the holiday rush intensifies, signaling a busy day ahead in town.
The will of the late William Rutherford is admitted to probate. The six children of his last wife receive the estate after debts, with all property to be sold and proceeds divided equally among Lee, Grace A., Russell, Esther, Rath, Willamena, and Meta C. Rutherford. Executor Lee Rutherford qualifies with bond of $200.
A marriage license was issued in the county clerk's office to Charles C. Stonesifer and Miss Fannie Chapman, both residents of the county. Stonesifer is a Pennsylvania native and a weaver by trade. Chapman is the daughter of George R. Chapman of the county.

The will of Robert N. Cather is admitted to probate. Executor James A. Cather bonds for 2000 dollars. Thomas N. Cather and Martin R. Cather receive horses, bridles, and saddles. After the widow Rhoda Ellen Cather’s life interest, the estate’s remaining value is to be sold and proceeds split among James A. Edward WwW C., Annie A., Thomas N., Martin Cather, and Laura Belle Morris.

Theophilus Grim of Strasburg Virginia a former Winchester native born May 27 1849 died at his Strasburg home after a brief illness from paralysis at age 85 He ran away to join the Confederate army at 15 and later served a prison term at Elmira He worked as a potter with Hickerson Grim later became a Southern Railway car inspector and previously published the Strasburg News with C W Bushong

The jury found Ritter guilty of shooting his young wife at the Ritter home five miles north of Winchester on June 2. Prosecutors argued he intended to kill himself after harming her, while defense claimed mental strain and a history of troubles. Sentence set for later today with potential penitentiary time.

Mrs M J Ritter 68 widow of Joseph A Ritter dies at her National avenue home after a weeklong illness from brain congestion following a severe cold. She attended a Friday tabernacle service and fell ill en route home. Funeral at Brethren Church Sunday 2 30 PM with Rev George W Stover and Rev Dr George S Bowers officiating. Interment in Hebron. Survived by three sons Lawrence D Ritter Carl R Ritter and Rev Walter B Ritter. two brothers and three sisters.
