Shirley a 19 year old elephant at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo near Colorado Springs drank a whisky toddy to combat a sudden cold wave that sent temperatures to 24 below zero. The storm dumped snow across Colorado Kansas Nebraska and surrounding states as life was disrupted by icy highways and a missing range rider in Wyoming.
