Virginia Moves to Fix Adult Home Problems
Welfare Commissioner says action is underway after a legislative audit found adult homes charging high fees, poor sanitation, bad food, and improper state reimbursements. The Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission also criticizes weak internal controls and misreporting in state finances and notes many homes fail to meet licensing standards.
