J Rodman Sr returns to Winchester from Lexington after completing construction of the Robert E Lee Hotel which opened November 15. Financed and built by Wise Granite and Construction Company of Richmond at about 250000 dollars, the six story steel concrete brick structure houses 75 rooms and mirrors the George Washington Hotel design in Winchester. The hotel is billed as one of the Valley of Virginia’s most modern and fireproof facilities and filled a long felt need in Lexington.
