Bandits Stage Diner Hold Up in Clark County
Three masked men robbed the Paris Diner on Route 50 in Clarke County at 5 a.m., escaping with 96.30 in cash, sixteen cartons of cigarettes and donuts. A customer, Johnny Parsons, was robbed of his wallet. the suspects fled in a late model dark Mercury or Ford. Police describe the trio as about 25 years old, 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 7, about 130 pounds, wearing gray overcoats and brown hats, using dirty white handkerchief masks. Investigators connect this with a similar robbery near Lacey Springs in Rockingham County last night. Authorities seek witnesses and vehicles matching the description.
