Mauck was indicted at the Getéber 1920 term of the Circuit Court for grand larceny. He was charged with stealing barrel hoops from Kerns town owned by Round Hill Orchard Company. He reportedly enlisted in the U S Army and was stationed in Texas for months. Sheriff Pannett said Mauck was found at his father's Warren county home and arrested yesterday by Sheriff Collins at the county line.
An order in the circuit court appoints Fred White as a special duty police officer for the Winchester Woolen Mills property and he has taken the prescribed oath. Roanoke VA resident Ta ioe Rogers, guest of his brother in law Dr P W Boyd, left Winchester for Martinsburg to visit his sister Mrs Allegx Emmert for several days.
The Frederick County Board of Supervisors plans a special session on December 17 with State Senator H P Byrd and Delegate-elect Boyd R Richards invited to discuss road matters. The board approved paying several supplier claims and will review candidates for the late Linden Hettel's superintendent position, with several applicants under consideration.
