Burlington Vermont December 7 A jury awarded Mrs Dorrit Stevens Woodhouse 465000 over the alienation of her husband from her. The suit was against her wealthy parents in law Mr and Mrs Lorenzo E Woodhouse of New York and Burlington.
Mrs. J. Mack Noonan, recently operated at Memorial Hospital, returned to her Braddock Street home today. Friends report she has improved markedly and is on the road to recovery after seven to eight weeks as a patient.

Dublin reports four Irish rebels were executed in Mountjoy Prison this morning as a reprisal for the assassination of Sean Hales and to warn others in the conspiracy against Irish representatives. Names include Rory O Connor Liam Mellowes and Eamon de Valera remains at large. Barrett from Cork and McKelvey from Belfast connected with the old executive forces.
The Handley lecture series opens at 8 30 this evening in City Hall Auditorium with former Congressman Henry T Rainey of Illinois as the first winter course lecturer He served 18 years in Congress and was a longtime ranking member of the Ways and Means Committee The auditorium will be heated and all lectures are free with no reserved seats invited to all
Dr. J St. Clair Neal, a leading Baltimore preacher, will preach at Greenwood Methodist Church at 3 30 Sunday afternoon. He began his ministry there about fifty years ago. Sunday school starts at 2 30 and Christmas music will be rehearsed with choir members urged to attend.
Many people visited yesterday and last evening to view the exhibit of age appropriate books and toys at the Mid-City garage on North Main Street. Miss Marie H Schister supervised the Handley primary department and Supt F E Clerk explained the aim to help parents choose gifts. Local merchants reported many inquiries this morning about similar items.

A five member jury in Corporation Court failed to reach a verdict in the case of J. R. and K. W. Adams, chiropractors accused of practicing without a state license and without a medicine license. The judge adjourned and set the trial for January 5 as supporters and onlookers packed the courtroom.
Police found Miss Evelyn Mabel Rainbow a concert singer dead from a heart wound in her Paterson New Jersey basement. Boarder Harry Harter lay nearby wounded, with a note by Rainbow asking forgiveness and naming her son David. A second note asked Harter's wife for forgiveness, indicating a separation.
