Longtime resident Oliver Woore dies after stroke
Oliver Woore died at his South Ert street home at age 81 after a stroke ten days prior. Born July 5, 1839 near London, he married Hannah Prince in 1862 and emigrated to America in 1869. A devoted Baptist, he lived much of his life on farms and remained active in church despite deafness. Surviving are his wife and seven children, sixteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Funeral at First Baptist Church, burial in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
