Glasgow reports a large shipment of Scotch whiskey for the United States will depart on the American steamer Winona County this weekend. The 25 000 to 30 000 case cargo aims to lower prices by boosting domestic supply as federal authorities consider using import and pricing powers to ease costs for consumers.

One of the 1934 V eight Fords will be on display Saturday at the Bickers Motor Company on North Braddock Street. Changes in the new model are expected to excite interest as Ford dealers and employees in the district hear factory details in Washington. Bickers representatives M. B. Bickers Hugh K. Dillwyn Virginia reports 7 year old Marshall Walker Staton was shot and killed. Cliff Smith, 16, a Negro youth, is jailed in connection with the slaying after a 9 year old sister identified him with a rifle. Smith denies passing the Staton house yesterday.
The grand champion Briarcliff Model of North American steers fetched 1.30 a pound at the International Live Stock Exposition auction in Chicago. The sale occurred at Union Stock Yards with the Palmer House representative as the buyer.
Ernest Robinson and Lester Ramey, both of Stephens City, pleaded guilty to possession of ardent spirits before Judge Philip Williams. Each received 30 days in jail and a 50 dollar fine plus costs.

CRISFIELD Md Dec 7 The search for Earl Collins 22 accused of killing 20 year old Mrs Nor ris Taylor Minnie Jones on arrival at her father store continues with no trace found. A coroner jury ruled the death from a heart wound inflicted by Collins with a 38 caliber revolver after a brief exchange in the store last night. Witnesses said he fired twice then vanished as officers arrived.

Funeral rites for J William Affleck 73 were held from his Cameron Street home. Rev Dr Hubert Sydenstricker led services. Interment followed in Mount Hebron Cemetery beside family. Deputy Sheriff J W Newcome and City Policeman Jack Bowers transported Edward Robinson a local native to the state hospital in Petersburg Virginia after he became insane in jail and required several men to restrain him on a cot. He was taken to the asylum at once.
Joseph E. Snapp appeared before Judge Philip Williams in Frederick County Circuit Court this morning and pleaded guilty to breaking and entering the property of H. F. Byrd and stealing about $15 in value. He was sentenced to three months in jail.

Princess Anne Md December 7 Special Officer Irving Adkins one of four arrested on a lynching charge issued a statement claiming state policemen and National Guardsmen abused him and his wife who was in bed with a four month old baby when the officers arrived He said four guns were pointed at him as he opened the door and that they drove him upstairs without showing a warrant He said he would have gone to Baltimore or another county to explain his actions if he had known he was suspected.
Doctors Myers Snapp and Pifer held dental and diphtheria clinics at Bryarly School examining about 140 pupils through grade six. Ninety two children received diphtheria vaccines. The Bryarly Community League sponsored the diphtheria clinic with 25 cent student fees. remaining costs covered by the league. Principal W. H. Inskip praised the effort and Community League support.
Moses F. Woodward was found guilty by a Frederick county Circuit Court jury of assault and battery in the Middletown incident. The panel fixed his punishment at one year in the penitentiary and a $500 fine, considering the maximum under the lesser charge. Brumback moved for an appeal but withdrew it, and sentence was imposed immediately. The trial spanned three days with deliberations from Monday afternoon to tonight.
Francis White resigned as minister to Czecho-Slovakia today at the State Department and is returning to the United States. A Baltimore native, he had been assistant secretary of state for Latin American affairs in the Hoover administration, with much of his career focused on Latin and South American matters.
