Viet Cong and North Vietnamese gunners shelled 37 allied bases and South Vietnamese towns in the heaviest wave since November. Spokesmen reported 300 to 400 mortar and rocket rounds, with 27 South Vietnamese killed and 104 wounded in the shellings and three terrorist attacks.
