In Sydney Nova Scotia December 6 Canadian Press reports nineteen killed and many injured in Nova Scotia’s worst coal mine disaster in 20 years. A riding rake of 26 mine cars with about 250 workers plunged down a mile incline after a haulage cable snapped. Fourteen bodies were recovered at the surface within hours and forty five men were seriously injured.
