Chinese Student Hanged In London For Wife Murder
Chinese law student Chung Yi Miaw from New York was executed at Strangeways jail for the murder of his bride Wai Sheung Maio. She was found strangled near Keswick last June after their arrival on a honeymoon tour. Their marriage was in New York and jewels disappeared from the scene. Chung was convicted in October and his own appeal followed through the Court of Appeals on November 19.

Abductors Release Ed Alvey After 54 Hours
Ed Alvey a 60 year old Louisville gambler and racing figure was kidnapped Monday night and held for about 54 hours. Three men abducted him, blindfolded him, and released him near midnight in a Louisville suburb without ransom. He returned home grateful for the ordeal and joked about being treated royally.
