Mount Rogers State Park Proposed In Southwest Va
A six year plan of 1.25 million dollars to create Mount Rogers State Park in Southwest Virginia was urged by the State Department of Conservation and Economic Development. Initial 626000 would fund land, roads and equipment by 1964, with 320000 in 1966 for residences and utilities, 304000 in 1968 for leisure facilities.
