Night of Rioting Ends With Two Executions in Bermuda
In Hamilton Bermuda two Black Beret Cadres members Erskine Burrows and Larry Tacklyn were hanged at dawn after a night of riots by black youths. Burrows killed Bermuda governor Sir Richard Sharples and aide de camp Capt. Hugh Sayers and the 1972 Police Commissioner. both men also convicted in a 1973 supermarket holdup.
