Israeli Mirage jets shot down near Suez Canal
Beirut radio said Egyptian antiaircraft batteries downed three Israeli Mirage fighters in the Suez area. Two Mirages violated Suez air space at 4 10 pm and were hit, another at 3 30 pm was shot down over Egyptian air space. Pilots bailed out, one landing in the Gulf of Suez.
