Jerry Lewis Telethon set for Monday Labor Day broadcast
New York AP reports the eighth annual Labor Day telethon to fight muscular dystrophy will air Monday beginning 10 30 p m EDT from Las Vegas with guest stars including Steve Allen Buddy Hackett Don Rickles Patti Page B B King and Johnny Cash Portions will be from New York and Nashville The show aims to raise at least 10 million dollars and is televised on 151 stations across the U S Alaska Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The Muscular Dystrophy Association notes past telethons have raised 26 5 million.
