Richards Case To Come Before Supreme Court

Frank Meadows Pleads Guilty At Zanesville
Frank B. Meadows, wanted for alleged check forgeries, pleaded guilty to a like charge in Zanesville and is held for the grand jury there. His bond was $300 but he could not meet it. He is accused of passing worthless checks in Winchester and Clarke County while playing golf at Millwood. Meadows claimed to be a former Congressman and said he beat Bobby Jones at golf more than any man. City Sergeant C. Winchester to issue 3.2 beer licenses starting Monday

First Death In Ludwig Family In Many Years
Edward F. Ludwig 72, a retired farmer, died at his home near Hagerstown Maryland after a long illness. He was the first death in a nine-sibling family in 78 years, a notable record. Foxhunting Trials Set by Virginia Association October 23

Patrolman Henry E Butschky Ends Life After Family Rift

Henry E Butschky a 36 year old patrolman shot and killed himself early this morning after spending part of the evening riding in a car with his wife who had left him days earlier during a quarrel. The wife accompanied him in the automobile. He died at a local hospital from a self inflicted pistol wound.

Clarke county officials opened an inquiry into the death of Mrs Erma McKay Lee 26 wife of Milton Lee of Clifton farm Clarke county following an autopsy that allegedly linked the death to an illegal operation.
