President Nixon plans a Honolulu visit with Japanese Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka to discuss Pacific peace prospects and economic issues. He will hold a Vietnam conference with Ellsworth Bunker and mix campaign activities with goodwill events in Hawaii before traveling on.
Clarke County Fair drew about 30 000 visitors over six days at the Raritan Fairgrounds west of Berryville. Gross receipts reached 41000 with 11000 from admissions 14000 from food and 10466 from animal sales. The little train for tots served 1474 customers with 515 in receipts. Final profit awaits remaining bills.
