Fatal Blast at DuPont Plant Claims Martinsburg Man
James C. Zombro, 53, of Martinsburg, died in a dynamite blast at the DuPont explosives plant in Falling Waters. 400 to 800 pounds of dynamite blew up at 8:40 p.m. as he worked alone in an underground mixing house. Plant managers report no other injuries among 40 workers on night shift. Zombro is survived by his widow and son. Memorial service set for Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Martinsburg.
