Dynamite prank injures two youths near Prairie City
Two teenagers, John Roger Everly 20 and Gene Cooper 18, were critically injured when dynamite exploded at a farm home owned by Mr and Mrs Ralph Tucker near Prairie City Illinois, as a slumber party for Marilyn Tucker’s guests was disrupted. Everly lost an arm and was blinded temporarily while Cooper lost part of a hand and suffered leg and chest injuries. The blast occurred Thursday night about a half mile from the Tucker residence. Nearby neighbor James Martin found Everly across the road.
