Funeral Rites Held For Winchester Businessman Walter Barnett
A large turnout of lifelong friends attended the funeral of Walter B. Barnett a Winchester businessman who died Wednesday morning at his home. Services were conducted at 4 pm at the family residence by Rev. Edward T. Clark. The Friendship Fire Company sent a large delegation and tolled its engine house bell as the cortege departed for Mount Hebron Cemetery where interment followed. Pallbearers listed included Marcellus Anderson James Grant James P. Reardon David Reardon Benjamin H. Potts and Edwin B. Sartelle. A quartet choir rendered Lead Kindly Light Face To Face and The Silver Cord Is Broken. Floral tributes filled the casket area.

Mrs. Sarah Merryman Weede widow of Rev Charles T. Weede former Winchester pastor died at her Lennox street Baltimore home. Funeral at 10 a m tomorrow from the residence followed by interment in Druid Ridge Cemetery. She was about 80 and linked to the Merryman family of Baltimore county. The late pastor served in the Baltimore Conference 47 years and died May 4 1920 at age 72.
