Democrats To Speak Tonight On Presidential Campaign
Democrats will have radio speeches tonight to urge support for campaign finances. Governor Roosevelt will speak from Albany at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, with Harry F. Byrd and James A. Farley delivering talks in New York City and Evans Woolen speaking from Indianapolis.

Merchant Loy Sentenced in Liquor Driving Case
In police court yesterday justice Weems sentenced A. R. Loy a merchant to 30 days in jail and a $123 fine for operating an automobile while intoxicated. Loy backed his car into a porch on East Lane, and his license was revoked for one year.
Orndorff Reports To Prosecutor In Murder Case
Kermit Orndorff, jailed for months awaiting trial on the December 1931 murder charge of his wife Frances Nichols Orndorff, was taken to Burr P. Harrison Frederick County commonwealth attorney to discuss a possible statement. Sheriff Pannett escorted him. Harrison could not be reached for comment. Police and officials gathered outside the attorney’s office.

Young People Show Interest In Life Saving
Excellent progress has been made in teaching life saving tests at the American Legion pool in cooperation with the Red Cross. Twenty two beginners, all small children, have learned to swim at least fifty feet with others more experienced. Tests are offered Tuesdays 10 am to 1 pm and Fridays 6:30 to 9 pm with no charge and open to juniors and seniors.
