An estimated 1500 spectators at Berryville Show Grounds watched Portmaker owned by Dr. Alvin Kay win multiple hunter classes with Mrs. Betty Perry aboard. Clifton's Peggy from Clifton Farm swept the Conformation Hunter class, while Clifton's Champ now owned by Miss Mary Davy captured the R. Powel Page Memorial Trophy. My Venture led Working Hunters and Jumper Championships for George and Jane Greenhalgh, earning two trophy legs. Winchester postmaster Mr. Page addressed the convention in Roanoke with Mrs. Virginia K. Wright also speaking.

Federal court upheld OPA’s stance on eviction cases during the rent control hiatus in Nashville Tennessee. Judge Elmer D Davies granted a temporary injunction restraining a landlord and a constable from moving forward with evictions begun July 1 through July 25 1946 when OPA controls were off.
