Cordell Bowley, son of Andrew Bowley, sustained serious facial lacerations in an early morning automobile wreck on the Martinsburg Pike about three miles north of the city. The Bowley car was returning to town and collided with another vehicle. He was treated at the hospital after a blood loss but the doctor said no serious damage occurred.
