Police clash with photographers as authorities in Alaska and California work to move a body discovered with a world traveler’s companion. The companion lies in a crypt in California until removal to a plains native Oklahoma site is arranged.
Sufficient explosive material was found hidden on land belonging to the Wit Rogers estate. Detectives investigated with suspicions it came from road gangs or possibly the ranch, listing 145 sticks of dynamite 40 percent, 300 percussion caps, 200 wired fuses and 75 feet of fuse as part of the find.
Virginia units 111th Field Artillery and 54th Field Artillery plan summer encampments at Elizabeth Furnace Powell's Fort near Winchester inviting citizens to attend Wednesday and Thursday concerts.
