Lee Highway routes and road status mentioned in Shenandoah Valley clipping
The Shenandoah Valley paper relays Richmond Times-Dispatch clips on the Lee highway from Washington to New Market, noting delays from missing links west of Washington and debate over routing. The Lee Jackson highway between Winchester and Washington is praised as nearly finished, planned as a national U S highway, with feeder roads to be marked. The report also lists obituaries and funeral notices for Nora Gaunt and family, detailing survivors and burial plans.
