DeHaven Revives No. 500 Camaro Seizes Winchester Wins
Ronnie DeHaven has moved the No. 500 Camaro from steady midpack to victory and top ten hopes at Winchester Speedway after owner Cecil Clipp and builder Gary Martz overhauled the chassis. The team, including crew members Melvin Stevens and the Nail brothers, plans further upgrades for 1979 with an all‑new Gary Martz car. DeHaven recalls a dramatic past wreck and says he aims for the track championship next season. A midget show and a planned mechanic race headline Winchester’s Friday program.
