Virginia Traffic Toll Reaches 505 With New Kent Fatality

Horse Killed and Man Hurt in Route 522 Accident Near Gainesboro
A late night crash on Route 522 one mile south of Gainesboro left a horse dead and Donald Selway of Dan Neck Virginia injured with a scalp laceration and possible shoulder injury. The 1949 Ford-Oldsmobile, driven by William Carnahan of Detroit, struck the wandering horse owned by Robert Nail. Damages were about $800. Selway was treated at Memorial Hospital and released.
