In Rio de Janeiro crowds chant support for the Vargas government after Axis submarines sink five Brazilian ships in three days. Demonstrations seize flags from pro Axis offices and march to the foreign ministry as editorials inflame public sentiment. The five ships Bage and Cuyaba were held in port.

About 30 cadets nine airplanes five or six flight and ground school instructors and Army Navy reservists will train on weekends until courses finish. Local field Valley Airways Inc also runs an army navy instructor class and 20 privately owned planes operate from the field. A new 60 by 66 foot hangar of cin der blocks is planned this week and safety standards will be upheld at Winchester joint operation.
