Camp Hoover in Shenandoah Opened to Public Again
Shenandoah National Park reopened Camp Hoover on August 6 and 7 for the fourth year. The retreat, chosen by Herbert Hoover for trout streams and altitude, remains a rustic complex with cabins for the President and aides. Park Ranger Jim Griffin notes later visits by Roosevelt and Mondale and upcoming Hoover Days in August.
