Winchester Cold Storage expects to handle up to 300 000 bushels of northwest apples, with current holdings at 5 000 bushels and 113 carloads of government potatoes arriving recently. Prices will influence how much of the short crop is held or moved to domestic channels. Virginia Apple Storage reports 25 carloads of potatoes stored. Robinson Ice and Cold Storage pipes were damaged by a recent fire and cooler rooms should reopen by Sept. 1.

Coal Pit Blast Kills 3 Workers In Southern Illinois
