Byrd Named Chairman of National Park Advisory Board
Har F Byrd of Winchester has accepted the chairmanship of the Shenandoah National Park advisory board. The national committee will include southern and eastern leaders and work toward establishing a Southern Appalachian National Park in the Blue Ridge. Other members and officials will be announced later. Byrd previously served on a Virginia steering committee supporting park efforts.
