Willis, Ashby Sprint, Frank Sprint, Gray Beverley, James Kuykendall, M. B. Minian, Michael Collins, Walter Cox, D. B. Conrad, Roy Richards, Victor Arthur, Ben Arthur, and A. D. Henkel.
Harvey Cornwell of this city writes to The Star to complain his name was used in a police court case. A disorderly conduct arrest last Sunday led to a misidentification with Stone, who was fined under that name, and Cornwell objects to being printed in Monday's Star as arrested.
A series of heavy showers dumped over an inch of water in three bursts from 7 PM to 3 AM, flooding downtown streets but causing no damage. Southeast of town near Millwood road rain was heaviest, and Berryville experienced a near cloudburst with tents blown down by winds and swept away by rising Shenandoah river waters.
A large crowd attended automobile and motorcycle races at the fair grounds this afternoon. Officials expected at least 30 competitors for cash prizes as cars and bikes were tuned for speed. The Citizens' Band performed during intermissions while rain left the track slightly heavy but serviceable.

The funeral of Mrs Lillie D Pendleton who died at her home in Selma was held at 10:30 this morning. Relatives and friends from the city and out of town attended. The Episcopal service was read by Rev Robert B Nelson and interment was in Mount Hebron Cemetery beside her husband Alexander R Pendleton. Pallbearers included Dr Julian F Ward Dr B M Knight Dr B C Stuart Dr H H W McGuire Col Bryan Conrad Alexander Spottswood Dantitidge and James B Russell.
The Littrell family reunion is held near Shockeys ville this county with attendees from several regions. A barbecue featuring roasted beef, chicken, ham, roasting ears, and watermelon is planned as part of the event with Rev. George W. Stover delivering the oration.
