Man Found Guilty on Liquor Charge Appeals
George R. Henderson of Great Falls Virginia received 30 days in jail and a 68 dollar fine for illegal possession of liquor and 30.25 dollars for carrying a revolver after a police court hearing. He appealed to the Corporation Court and posted 500 dollars bail for trial. His companion C H Metcalf of Washington was fined 17 dollars for intoxication. They operate a produce truck between Washington DC and the Valley. police say a quart of liquor and a loaded revolver were found in the truck on East Piccadilly Street. Henderson says someone else placed the liquor and gun in the truck, though he admits drinking with a man earlier.

Broadway Mayor Died After Operation in Winchester Hospital
