Berryville Va Aug 10 Robert M Henry of Winchester drove Prince Constance to win the speedway stake at the Clarke County Horse and Colt Show. Quince and Madame Phelps also claimed first money in other races as crowds cheered, with many entries across classes. The event closed day one with strong turnout, orderly crowds, and spirited competition in hunting and harness divisions.

Mrs. Mary Alice Anderson wife of Macan Anderson a noted Winchester electrician died after a brief illness of paralysis of the brain and convulsions about 1 o clock this morning at 444 North Main Street She was born January 3 1881 at Gore aged 35 She leaves husband a son Joseph and two daughters Lillian and Margaret plus her mother four brothers and five sisters The funeral will be at the First Baptist Church Winchester on Saturday afternoon with the family meeting at 3 o'clock at the Anderson home for procession to the church
