Feminity Draws Men as Rose Sees Style Shift in Film
Hollywood couturier Helen Rose says modern girls move away from kooky dress to feminine clothes to attract men. She notes men prefer femininity and disapprove of smoking or excess, citing stars like Ava Gardner, Lana Turner, Elizabeth Taylor, and Grace Kelly who built feminine personas with support from studios and wardrobes. Rose reflects on her career shaping wardrobes for major films and stars, urging young women to cultivate a feminine personality through disciplined styling.
