Fire Disrupts Key Telephone Lines Near Richmond
An early morning blaze at a Ladysmith repeater station disrupted north south trunk lines and leased wires for hours, cutting long distance calls between New York and Washington and affecting AP circuits. C&P Telephone and AT&T worked to reestablish service with full restoration expected later today.
