Escape ends as trooper fires at two Winchester men
A state trooper halted a July morning escape at Duff's Rebel Restaurant by firing a bullet that shattered a glass counter. The second of two Winchester men, John Franklin Morrison Jr. and Chester Dorsey Talley, both 18 and 19, were captured and jailed on statutory burglary charges after entering the Millwood Pike eatery at 1 am. Morrison, an employee, and Talley, formerly of Arlington, Va., had admitted burglarizing the restaurant on three prior occasions.
