Front Royal's B J Hillidge Dies at 66
Benjamin J Hillidge of Front Royal died at University Hospital Charlottesville at 8 30 am after a 12 week illness. He was 66 born September 5 1871 in New York and moved to Virginia as a teacher before founding Locust Pin Company in Front Royal. He served 15 years as mayor from 1918 to 1928 and again 1930 to 1936. He led civic groups including Warren County Health Association Red Cross and Bank of Warren and was active in Masons and Front Royal Presbyterian Church.
