Occupational Health Field Draws More Male Nurses
New York AP reports men increasingly enter occupational health nursing, a field once seen as female dominated. Dorothy M. Saller notes male leaders in the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses and at IBM and Chrysler, with rising degree attainment since the 1970s. The appeal includes regular hours, company payroll benefits, and diverse duties in disease screening, rehabilitation, counseling, and health education.
