Martinsburg Guardsmen Rescue Drowning Children
Four members of the 167th Military Airlift Group rescued three children at Savannah Beach during a 16 day West Virginia Air National Guard field training. The rescuers from Martinsburg Kearneysville and Strasburg used inflatable rafts to reach two girls and a boy about 9 to 11 years old swept 200 yards from shore by high waves.
