New Church 10 Cornerstone to Be Laid August 17
The Church of the Disciples of Christ in Winchester plans to lay its cornerstone at 3 PM August 17, the last day of the Valley District Association convention. Ground broke on West Cork street for a 46 by 80 foot brick building costing about 30 000 dollars with a 500 seat main area and basement heating plant. The congregation has grown from 28 in 1921 to over 100 affiliated and aims to raise the remainder of funds via district pledges and local contributions.
