Seventeen local citizens join Handley High School Band of Winchester as they depart on the Shenandoah Valley good will special for Canada New England and the Sesqui Centennial. The 24 band members under Prof W H McIlwee travel with an escort of about 250 including officials and wives. The train will broadcast Shenandoah Valley attractions and resources from Washington to Buffalo and return.
