Greenberg Sentenced to Jail for Embezzlement Fraud
Mel Greenberg 56 was sentenced in Roanoke Circuit Court to three consecutive 12 month terms after pleading guilty to three misdemeanor counts of selling goods from his consign ment business and converting proceeds. The case followed a 1974 Lexington hoax about a Civil War epic and included dropped charges to avoid a long trial.
