Missing Cows Found In Cellar Of Unoccupied House
Mrs. William Parlette reported nine cows missing since July 24 were found in the cellar of an unoccupied Sunnyburn house she owns. Four cows died of starvation and asphyxiation. five survived, including one calf. The herd apparently wandered into the ground level cellar to escape heat, and one cow kicked the door shut. A strong odor led to discovery.
