City County joint meeting on planned unit development
A joint City County meeting is set for Wednesday to discuss the citys first planned unit development and potential traffic impacts. At a public hearing, Winchester Planning Commission members approved the joint meeting prompted by a county request, with 16 Middle Road residents forming the largest group of concerns. Doug Swift, attorney for residents, warns of intolerable traffic conditions and estimates about 840 additional vehicles would worsen the Weems Lane Valley Avenue bottleneck. He cites peak hour congestion and questions driveways from PUD homes to Middle Road.
