Death Comes Suddenly to Mrs Cornwell
Funeral services were held in Romney West Virginia for Mrs Mary Cornwell age 88 or 89 years mother of William B Cornwell of Winchester who died suddenly Tuesday at the Romney home of her son former Governor Jonon Wormwell. The service was at the Cornwell home with burial in Indian Mound Cemetery. The Rev F J Brooke and Rev L Q Forqueran officiated. Mrs Cornwell had been ill two weeks and seemed improving before a sudden collapse ended her life. She was born in 1833 daughter of John Taylor raised by Jesse Monroe and married in 1864 to Jacob Bieene of Aikie704.

Funeral services were held at First Presbyterian Church in Staunton Virginia for McHenry Holliday a leading merchant and churchman who died after a paralysis stroke on Monday. Holliday a Staunton resident since 1877 was brother to the late Benjamin T Holliday and longtime deacon of the church survived by wife Mary Kinney Holliday two children Malcolm Holliday and Mrs Charles Holt Jr and several grandchildren plus two half-sisters in Los Angeles.
