No Inflation Here 40 Cents Still Buys Shave and a Haircut
In Woodbury Tennessee 80 year old Jim Borren keeps a one room bar bershop true to old days. He charges 25 cents for a haircut and 15 cents for a shave and rents his shop from the late landlady’s heirs for 30 dollars a month. High bidder Hal Larimer buys the building for 20 500 but Borren plans to stay. Ford says Betty Ford’s public addiction disclosures may help others. He notes she stayed functional in the White House before recent treatment decisions.
