Navy Department says it will release a complete casualty list. American artillery and other units played prominent roles in Picardy operations as German resistance shows its strongest effort since the opening assault.
Washington reports that American Marines are in trenches in France with a wounded Corporal Chester Rush of Cleveland cited. British and French lines show Pershing’s forces holding a front near Amiens as German attacks fail. U.S. artillery units are heavily engaged in the sector, with Americans fighting across a large western front effort.

Fansler has moved from a clerical office to a tank corps and now drives a twin six Packard roadster for his commander Colonel Patton. He praises French roads as the best and notes extensive travel from Company A First Light Tank Center A P O T14 Annex Forces France.
